In an unfortunate case of mistaken identity, a Minor League Baseball radio announcer in Texas named Tim Hagerty is receiving hateful social media comments intended for a U.S. Senator of a similar name from Tennessee over the acquittal of President Donald Trump.
Tim Hagerty recently tweeted:

U.S. Senator Bill Hagerty (R-TN) voted to acquit Trump last week, The Chattanoogan reported.
The senator has a Twitter user name, or handle, of @BillHagertyTN.

Tim Hagerty, with a Twitter user name of @tdhagerty, is the broadcaster for the Triple-A El Paso Chihuahuas Minor League Baseball club. The team is an affiliate of the San Diego Padres.

In a now-deleted tweet, which the radio announcer saved, a person with the user name of @NesbethSmith told Tim Hagerty that, “Senator you are a Traitors to our country, Un-American and will be voted out of your seat. WE WILL NOT FORGET your loyalty to Trump instead of America. It is unforgivable that you did not vote to impeach. You are a Coward! You have blood on your hands Signed by a Republican”.
The social media responses were memorable, with some lines being hit out of the ballpark in a roasting of the mistaken Twitter user.
The unfortunate case of mistaken identity drew the attention of Tim Hagerty’s counterpart in Nashville’s Minor League industry.
Jeff Hem, the play-by-play announcer for the Nashville Sounds, replied to Tim Hagerty’s tweet by saying, “I hear that Bill often gets questions about the Padres’ pitching depth and where to listen to Chihuahuas games.”
